Delivery methods

You can deliver your courses face-to-face, online, blend of the two, or blend of online and face-to-face.

The way how you choose to present your courses will depend on many factors, including your learners’ needs, what you want them to achieve, and what resources are available. These factors will also help you to choose a mode of delivery for your course, which can be face-to-face, online, blend of the two, or blend of online learning and face-to-face.

FACE-TO-FACE

You can take a course face-to-face on campus or at a dedicated location that may or may not be run by campus of the University. You might choose this mode of delivery if:

  • students need to use specific equipment, such as lab technology or studio spaces;
  • the course you choose relies heavily on physical or group-based activities.

ONLINE

Online courses can be delivered online through Abai KazNPU’s “Univer” system, Moodle LMS, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom platform.

You might choose this mode of delivery if you know your course has wide-reaching or global appeal and your learners may have commitments that prevent to study at campus.

Online courses can be offered flexibly and take self-paced and unfacilitated form: learners move through the course at their own pace with individual learning activities.

BLENDED LEARNING

Blended learning combines two training environments—traditional face-to-face classroom training and online learning. You might want to combine the two modes above and offer a blend of face-to-face and online learning activities.

For example, you could offer:

  • all lectures will be face-to-face and use an online platform to host the course learning materials and assignments;
  • all lectures will be online and seminars to host the course learning materials and assignments face to face.

If you decide to take your courses online or as a blend of online and face-to-face activities, you’ll need to choose a platform.

STUDENT-FACULTY ENGAGEMENT

Every day, our University try to provide students the opportunity to be aware and ask questions or get feedback in Scheduled talks or face-to-face meetings with their teachers.

Scheduled talks or face-to-face interactions, including at regional centers, are a component as a way to meet teachers in person. Students should be able to schedule talks or face-to-face meetings with their teachers in person via audio call or video chat (in addition to instant messaging services such as WhatsApp, Gmail, etc.).

  1. Scheduled one-to-one conversations: Students should have the opportunity to schedule one-to-one appointments with faculty members. We can accept hours set aside for students to meet or make appointments with professors (i.e. office hours). While email, WhatsApp, or other instance messaging services may be used to schedule meetings, they do not take the place of them.
  2. Face-to-face component: You can ask questions or get feedback in a face-to-face setting with teachers on campus or at a dedicated location that may or may not be run by campus of the University.
